Money is an important concept and children should begin exploring the different values of coins and bills during their elementary school years. They need to learn about the cost of every day items and how to organize their money in real-world situations. For example, drawing and writing about different equivalent combinations of coins and bills. Also, creating a plan and working toward a goal to save for a purchase, as well as simply making change. The use of dry erase boards allows the children opportunity to practice these skills and make quick and easy changes to their work. Finally, the children will be able to take these dry erase boards, markers, and erasers home to support their learning during distance learning.
