The students we work with already have various obstacles that they fight to overcome on a daily basis, from having specialized learning plans through special education, to living in a low socioeconomic status, and being emergent bilinguals (English language learners), just to name a few. Transitioning to 100% virtual learning this fall presents yet another disadvantage to these fearless students, who are constantly working hard to overcome barriers. I want to provide these students with standard school supplies that all children need for learning this year. Supplies like pencils, notebooks, and dry erase boards and markers will be delivered to each student's home and be useful for synchronous and asynchronous math and writing lessons.
