I am an orchestra teacher and will be meeting with students, teaching and rehearsing virtually as others. After all distance learning has occured, the quality of the environment where the virtual instruction comes from has become one of important factors, but many teachers have already experienced physical discomfort by sitting and looking at the screen for too long time. As the physical comfort level is important especially when teachers have to sit down to deliver virtual lessons for at least 8 periods with no break, I believe that these items will only enhance my working environment as delivering virtual lessons. For example, I will need to sit, stand, and move around to demonstrate a few different instruments during virtual lessons and rehearsals, so monitor/laptop riser will help me keep a better posture. Organization around the working area is also important as everything has to be ready to go in a second in virtual world. The interaction between the teacher and students is very crucial in classroom. Although the distance learning does not allow us to meet in the actual classroom, we still see each other on a daily basis through the screen. I believe that these are going to help us have positive interaction through our virtual journey.
