Your donation will not only keep my kids engaged in learning how to self regulate but will also teach them they are not the only ones who feel this way or have a learning disability. While in small breakout sessions with my kids, we begin with a greeting, discuss social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies as a welcome into the session, which includes reading these books and then move onto the lesson within the allotted time frame. This will help reinforce that we are all in this situation together, united as a family to help one another no matter what the struggle, the learning disability, or the situation. We learn together, from each other, and make mistakes along the way. We all can relate.
