Studies show that virtual learning is not ideal for Pre-K students. As a 20+ year veteran of early childhood education. I know how crucial it is to engage student's minds through hands on experiential activities. As we learn to adapt to this new style of teaching, it is important that I am able to bring the same enthusiasm, creativity, energy and activity into each of my student's homes through a computer screen. The computer and adjustable desk will allow for freedom of movement about my classroom, that will keep my children engaged. It will allow for a more interactive virtual experience, than if I were attempting to teach the same lessons while sitting stationary behind a desk. You only have one shot to make a first impression. As this is many of my kids first time in school, I want to make this different start to a school year a virtual victory! I truly believe that quality early childhood education sets the foundation for a love of learning and successful academic career. Please help me to get my kids off on the right foot!
