This project will give at least three of my students access to a personal AAC device in order to have a unique set of vocabulary they can use across setting throughout their day. Once purchased, I will load symbol-to-speech applications onto the devices that contain thousands of vocabulary words as well as customizable features. This will make it possible for the students to begin to speaking in short phrases ("red car") using the device, answer questions, make requests ("want apple"), and talk to their peers ("hi friend"). In short, it will completely change their academic experience and future trajectory.
