This past year has been a whirlwind of change throughout the start of COVID. We have adjusted to virtual learning and school at home and things we have never imagined. Now as the school nurse gearing up to start back a year still in the midst of COVID with students preparing to return to the buildings for the first time in March I find myself rethinking procedures and "usuals" since we all know those can't be right now. My first idea, and the majority of my requested items for Donors Choose are for teacher kits to put in classrooms for minor instances where they can offer the students some vaseline for dry lips with qtip applicator or place on a bandaid. Also some safety pins for any of those mask disasters! This will protect some kiddos from coming out in the hallways and down to the nurses office on a more frequent basis where they may be exposed to other germs.
