I work in a wonderful school that has a predominately black population. These students are not able to see themselves represented in our world. I want to make sure that they are given access to books and read alouds where they are represented. These kids are hungry to see stories about black children achieving their dreams. I am a first year teacher and I am trying to build my classroom library. Any help that you can give me would be extremely appreciated! These kids are really the most amazing children!
