This color printer is an essential tool for my special education classroom. Many of my students are non-speaking and rely on pictures for communication and currently do not have access to a color printer to meet their communication needs. My students are on the Autism Spectrum and benefit from more concrete, real-life-based visuals for communicating and teaching. The color printer would allow the staff to create meaningful materials for each of my students. Being able to print in color will allow my students to better understand their daily schedule by clearly seeing each icon. It will also help my students easily identify pictures to communicate their needs as well as provide more concrete, real-world-based visuals to help generalize concepts outside of the classroom.
