Teaching virtually is a new way of teaching for me. I will be responsible for reaching my kindergarten students each day through a screen. For many of them, it's their first school experience and I want it to be a positive one!
By donating to our project, you will not only help to build communication skills and strengthen our connections, you will also be supporting student's academic achievement, and social/emotional learning.
I want to make things as engaging as possible so that students are motivated to learn each day. Having a document camera will help these little ones feel as though they are learning right in the room with me. It will allow me the opportunity to use an array of documents, live with my students. It will help make storytime come alive each day and will ensure that all students can see the words and pictures. It will also allow me to integrate physical objects into math and other lessons, as well as teach letter formations and a zillion other kindergarten skills and concepts that we cover each and every day! :)
