As a School Counselor, it is imperative to be equipped with a diverse selection of literature to ensure responsiveness in meeting student needs. For young learners, developmentally appropriate and engaging books spark curiosity and conversation. As worry and anxiety threaten students' mindset returning to school, these materials will provide support, reassurance, and guidance in recognizing their own strength. Focusing on emotions, awareness, a growth mindset, and coping skills, these materials will encourage social engagement and effective communication skills. Utilizing the books and activities in small groups as well as classroom lessons, all students will have exposure to the wealth of benefits they will provide.
