Our families were able to choose in-person instruction or our VIP: Virtual Learning Program! With the variety of families and students, distance learning is obviously different for each family and child just as our school day experience is different for each student. Teachers across America, including myself, are still discovering new ways to assist, help, and encourage learning while our students are away from our classrooms.
For my Pre-K Special Needs students, I am discovering and changing my lesson plans and activities each week based on conversations with my families and parent surveys to provide the best individualized instruction both in our classroom and for my VIP Distance Learning students.
This project is important as it will provide a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card for me to purchase developmentally appropriate virtual learning and adaptive materials for our 1st semester of 2020-2021 created by special educators! Why recreate the wheel when I can support teachers who have created adaptive and virtual materials that I can easily print!
Also included are a sensory projecting light and a divider for my in-person instruction. The sensory light will be used daily during our Calm down/relax time of the day. The baby gate will be used as several dividers throughout the room to provide visual boundaries for my Littles who are just beginning to learn how to navigate a school environment.
Thank you in advance for any support you are able to provide to my precious Pre-Ks to help provide the best start to the 2020-2021 school year for my awesome students!
