I would like to add STEM boxes in our classroom this year. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math; all things that are extremely important in our world today. STEM is not only fun for early learners, it also has a multitude of benefits. Using the STEM boxes as morning work will allow for a soft start to our morning routine giving students the opportunity to socialize while learning. These boxes will also be available during center time and inside recess days. Our STEM boxes will foster creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, fine motor skills, social skills and so much more. I am very excited to introduce the IF/THEN Women in STEM Collection to my students this year! This free digital library collection contains photos and videos of diverse women in STEAM careers. These videos will be a great addition to our science/STEM curriculum.
