Being a counselor is a responsibility I take very serious. It is important for me to have the necessary resources to serve our students. Happy Kids Hand Puppets that are multiethnic and diverse will help my students explore puppets that represent them and their culture. These puppets will help me teach diversity while helping my students understand social emotional learning objectives. The School Counselor’s Guide to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and Making DATA Work: An ASCA National Model Publication will help me find ways to use our data effectively to help our students.
Helping our students understand their emotions and take steps to manage their emotions is key.
The storage trolley cart will allow me to take my counseling around the school with much needed supplies while doing guidance lessons in our classrooms. Sensory fidget tubes, expandable ball-breathing balls, stretch and squeeze stress balls, liquid motion bubblers, and books are resources to help our students manage their emotions, focus their attention and practice quiet and calm engagement techniques.
