I am the registrar of a large high school. I strive to keep students and parents information private. Being able to shred information in large amounts would help make this possible. We have everything from Birth Certification to Special Education records. We keep these items at the local school for 5 years before sending a small portion to out central office to house on microfilm. The rest is my responsibility to get rid of without letting it get in the wrong hands. Shredding the information would be best for students.
