My students face a host of emotional challenges in their day to day. Whether it be violence, poverty, unstable living conditions, or the ups and downs of being a teenager. Staying focused in school for 7 hours in addition to these stressors can be a lot. Help me create a tranquil calm down corner in my classroom for when my students need a break. Students will have flexible and comfy seating along with light filters to create a relaxing corner. With this project, my students could maximize their classroom learning when they are feeling refreshed AND it will be a space to teach social emotional skills.

About my class
