This fall our district is hybrid between being in-person and virtual. A lot of the activities that we are used to engaging in are not appropriate with Covid-19, so this is a time for educators to improvise! Our pool noodles are going to be very useful for many different activities, such as using them as an extension for our arms in tagging games and being able to switch them out as a safety precaution for Covid-19. Our resistance bands are going to allow students a new experience of a wide range of activities and allow them to be safely distanced from each other. Our goal is to engage our students with new opportunities for activity while accommodating the new look to the school year. With a wider range of activities that the students participate in, it will allow students to step out of their comfort zones and work together when learning the new activities. Our students have a high demand to be active and with this new equipment, we are continuing to find new ways to meet these demands. We had our student's needs in mind as we thought of new ways to keep them engaged with these activities.
