My district will be continuing with distance learning this fall and I want to make my therapy sessions as engaging and as fun as possible for children and their families. The green screen, ring light and document camera will allow me to make creative activity backgrounds and play schemes for children to engage in therapeutic activities. The green screen will be used to make child specific backgrounds that are motivating for the child (paw patrol, automobiles, disney characters etc) or backgrounds that address specific language and articulation targets (a background filled with items beginning with the /k/ sound). With the document camera I can demonstrate how to manipulate toys and games to help increase expressive language skills. The ring light will help combat poor lighting in my makeshift at home teletherapy space. Teachers Pay Teachers is an online database of resources created by teachers and special educators. It provides incredible digital resources that can be used remotely via screen share and also emailed or mailed home to families for continued learning outside of therapy sessions.
