By having a subscription to a class set of Science World magazines, students have the opportunity to read up-to-date science news on an ongoing basis. Additionally, particular articles that relate to what we are learning can be used for more in-depth lessons that allow for students to increase their literacy while also increasing their understanding of science concepts. By showing how science is used in the real world, they can see that science is more than what they get from textbooks and is instead an exciting way to learn about the world and solve problems.

About my class
