With these books and magazines, my students will be able to see literary voices that are from the world. My students love to read but struggle to find books that they relate with. By increasing my classroom library, I am able to provide a world view. My kids love reading about the world and how they fit into it. Having this variety is important to support the many cultures that I have in class. It is so much fun to see the kids come in after reading a book and wanting to share parts of their culture with the rest of the class. My students borrow a book for a week, devour it, and add book recommendations to our book wall. I am looking forward to seeing where these books and magazines will take us this year.
