The purchase of ukuleles for use in the school music program will provide our students an opportunity to safely learn a new (and fun!) musical instrument while in school at the time of global pandemic. For many students, this will be their important first experience playing a musical instrument. The ukuleles will also replace a very old set of plastic recorders that are not a safe and sanitary option at this time. A set of classroom ukuleles will provide an excellent outlet for students to safely work together as a group leading to some new opportunities for performances. Ukuleles are a great first instrument for young students!
