These books will be provided to our students in our district from grades K-8. This will help us bolster our currently limited collection of Spanish literature for students to choose from. Research has shown that raising students' literacy in their first language supports their literacy overall, and we are excited to provide this for our students! These books will be used particularly during independent reading time and during pull-out intervention with ESL specialists. These books are also largely authored by Spanish speaking authors, so we hope that this representation will further encourage students in their academic goals.
