CS's elementary music program is just beginning, and we are in need of instruments to provide a high quality education. Our curriculum choices are limited by our lack of supplies, but also by the health restrictions of the pandemic. These xylophones (formally known as Orff instruments) are versatile, accessible to all of my students, and well-made, which means that students at my school will benefit from this gift for years to come. By donating to this project, you will be opening the door for deep musical exploration and inquiry. Music making has been proven to deepen students' capacity to learn in other subject areas, improve their moods, assist with creative expression and benefits their social-emotional health in numerous ways. With these instruments, my students will be able to learn to work as a team, learn to play pieces of music, and they will serve as a vehicle of expression for their own creations.
