While we all continue to manage the 'new normal' of the unusual time we are living in, this school year will be like nothing we have experienced before. There are so many mysteries that lie ahead, and I want my students to feel less stressed and also be prepared as possible. Additionally, I want them to be encouraged and comfortable to start off a new school year under ever-changing circumstances. My district's plan is to have the students learn from home through remote learning for the first half of the school year. I am aware of the disparity that exists when it comes to poor internet access and connection, which my students face. I also recognize that the use of technology resources is not universal for every student. Consequently, modifications and accommodations will be necessary to meet the individual needs of my students. It is crucial for my particular group of students, who possess varied abilities, strengths, and challenges, to be afforded supplies that are uniform and those in which they can manipulate as needed to create productive and purposeful work. I would like to contribute any extra materials that will support them to have a successful beginning to the year.
