This project at our Title I school in South Chesterfield will not only reach my 18 students but 3 other 1st grade classes as I share across my team. The King Street School sets of books will be used for differentiating students into appropriate reading groups where each child can learn and grow at a comfortable pace. These books will allow the below level students to excel. While we are virtually learning, these books will be shared with students and read together to build the concept of a word by pointing, locating words, and matching the sentences. The materials chosen for literacy and math will provide the needed standard review and practice independently and/or with a small group. Both sets can be used in the classroom and virtually.
