We will be using yoga for sensory breaks, relaxation, a way to relieve anxiety in general and for Covid time away from school anxiety/ fears, stress and help with ability to focus. Currently some staff utilize yoga positions, but this will be more comprehensive, deliberate and intentional. We would like to have yoga be part of the culture of the school as a tool that engages students in relaxation and to use these skills to generalize to the classroom. Social workers will be doing the actual yoga with the students and the teachers can pick and choose when they want to do yoga in the classroom.

About my class
