Our school building made the smart decision to kill the drinking fountains usually located around the school in an effort to stop spread of germs between students during this national pandemic. Unfortunately, the only alternative is water bottles and a single water bottle filling station on the other side of the school from our special education classroom. If students forget their refillable bottles when coming to school, there is not an opportunity for them to get access to drinking water throughout the day. Having extra (cold) bottles in my room will help students with special needs meet their most basic needs and have the opportunity to earn an incentive like a crystal light packet to make their water bottle a little more fun.
