My second grade dual language students are an incredibly talented group of individuals who love to learn. The disappointment of not being able to attend classes in person was magnified when they realized that the ability to understand the material was also hindered. Thankfully every student was able to borrow a laptop from the school district to help learn remotely. The Lumens DC 172 document camera will enable the students to see multiple ways to complete math problems, how to highlight text when they are looking for the central idea, and the most effective ways to edit their essays in real time. Computers are an efficient and effective way to use technology and become well versed in technological advances in the 21st century. That being said, there is nothing like seeing your teacher complete lessons using pencils, markers, and highlighters in front of your eyes; Student engagement and participation is greatly heightened.
