This project will help my Reading Support students each have their own copy of our class novel to read, annotate, and take home to support their reading goals. It is a diverse text, so it will also hopefully expand the world views of my students and expose them to characters and authors they might not normally read. Finally, a class set of these novels will tie into our other units which will be taught in the regular English classes to further help the intervention students understand the curriculum on a deeper level.
