My students have struggled in school and find it to be uninspiring and difficult to connect what they are learning to the world outside the classroom. These activities will bring relevance to their learning, as well as fun. They will also aid in collaboration in the classroom, a necessary 21st century skill. Hands-on activities increase engagement and foster critical thinking, as well as help cement learning! The majority of my students have had little exposure to hands on learning, and I have found that when using the few activities I have they excel! I would love to provide them with more opportunities for this style of learning.
