Sometimes reading is hard. Audiobooks and hands-on projects will help my classes with half virtual learners and half in-person learners stay mostly synchronous. Audiobooks and exciting new activities help engage the reluctant reader to participate in literature discussions. Setting up an equitable learning environment during a time of such uncertainty will help students needing to switch to virtual learning in the midst of a pandemic feel secure in their learning environment. English Language Arts can be challenging for students who struggle to read. I hope to supply this for them with this project.
