Creating a designated comfortable reading corner environment is imperative for first graders! Adding a rug, chairs, and easel will help my reading corner be more inviting. My goal is to use the comfy reading chairs as a positive incentive for students to work towards in our reading corner. Let's face it, it's a lot more fun to read when you're sitting in a comfy chair! Having an easel will allow my students and me to display a variety of resources such as anchor charts, classroom thoughts, and opinions, writing, etc.
