During this time of COVID-19, it is more important than ever to monitor our students' (and their family's) health at home. From experience working with our families for the past few years, I became aware of the fact that many do not have a working thermometer. In the past, these parents have brought ill students to school to have their temperature taken, which will no longer be encouraged. The benefits of having a thermometer in the house will not only make it easier for families to decide whether their student should go to school, but it will also assist them in keeping their whole family healthier. In addition, our families are expected to perform temperature checks every morning before school.
