The learners in my class are in desperate need to practice their literacy skills in order to improve their understanding of written text and text features. While using their notebooks can be a suitable option, I find that my students increase their level of engagement in the activities I plan when they can use the whiteboards. The whiteboards, markers, and erasers will help them jot their thoughts and simply wipe some things off if they need to adjust their reasoning or output. My experience confirms that both student participation and understanding increase when whiteboards are used because they are more engaged in learning. I can't determine the specific reason dry erase boards, markers and erasers are so popular, but I am very grateful for your support in completing this project.
