These materials will help the students in my classroom learn more effectively. I teach Autistic 2nd to 4th grade children. In my project, you'll find sensory items, fidget toys, and other things meant to make my classroom better for my students. Items like fluorescent light covers would make the classroom a more calming environment. Sensory products and fidget toys are vital to an Autistic child's education. They allow the student to engage their senses and enhance the brain's development. The stretchy bands allow students to move their feet while learning, keeping them focused on their education while exerting energy in a quiet and effective way. My project contains many items that will create a calming environment for my students. The title of my project is a quote by Temple Grandin. She is quoted saying, "the world needs all kinds of minds." I could not agree more.
