By donating to my project, my reading students will have their own whiteboard, marker, and eraser to use during their reading instruction. We use dry erase boards and markers daily to practice word work and for students to record and then share out their thinking about what they are reading. I have found it to be very motivating for students to have options for methods of writing, such as using dry erase and not just paper and pencil. Individual dry erase materials provides an alternative for written response and word work that helps to keep students motivated to write.
