Traditionally, our students would push-out into their general education classroom to participate in academics with their peers. Since COVID-19, when we transition back to in-person, there will be procedures that would not allow for students to transition between classes. Since our students began the school year pushing into general classes via-online, we want to continue to support their learning with their grade-level peers and content expert teachers.
The technology would aide in supporting general education teachers to continue to teach at a distance with students in our class, but connecting via-Google Meet. The microphones would allow our students to listen in on lessons while the teacher is roaming their classroom as they usually do. Students would continue to have access to presentations and assignments as well. We strive for consistency, and with the technology, it would allow students to continue their already established schedule. And most importantly, their general education teacher would also be their champion in using the technology.
