I am a first year resource ELA teacher. I will be using these resources to do unit novels. I will be teaching plot maps, main ideas, inference, and teaching the students how to think creatively. My students will also be learning how to write an effective essay. These will be reading these resources for independent reading assignments that will be quarterly assignments. This way they will have a diversity of reading materials to choose from and to gain interest. Books and writing practice will help them develop the necessary skills that will be needed to succeed.
