The use of BrainPOP's lessons will reinforce unit lessons. This is the first time my students and I are embracing online learning. Using the animated videos in social studies, students can watch and re-watch when they have a need. Currently, when students get stuck with understanding a concept when working on their own, they have to seek help from a parent that may not have the time at the moment of need to help. When they contact a peer, the peer may not know the answer or may not be able to offer clear assistance. When emailing the teacher or posting a question on the class help board, the student has to wait for a response. By having 24 hour access to BrainPOP, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase my student's ability in seeking out support to understandings, you will ultimately help to increase their emotional well being during this new reality of learning. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether they can get the information they need in a timely manner. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with proven academic resources will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
