Hands on learning with the ability to manipulate and stimulate the senses makes such a difference in education of all children, but is critical when working with special education students. Understanding how your body works is empowering, and these plush organs bring a new level of comprehension when the students can see something physical in front of them. I've always had a passion for not just knowing how the body works, but how to help it work it's very best. With a degree in nursing as well as working with the special education students in the public school system I get the opportunity to teach about hygiene, health and wellness, maturation, and disease processes among other things. I've seen how students respond to having something physical they can touch while learning and would love the chance to use these plush organs in my lessons. Thank you!
