My students come from a Hispanic culture rich in music and do not have opportunities to explore other musical genres. My orchestra class offers my campus an opportunity for all students to not only listening but creating music using manuscript paper and pencil. Students will be able to mark up their music using highlighters and learn organizational skills using their binders and page protector to sort music by specific genres. Students will do finger strengthening exercises using hand trainers and will keep their bows in playing condition by applying rosin. Through the use of these donated materials, my students can work from home without worrying about finding their musical tools for our synchronous remote learning lessons. My students will use their supplies on a daily basis to help them learn and comprehend music theory which will be incorporate it into their instrumental applications.
