Science has proven over and over again that the body and the mind are connected. Students, especially our little ones, cannot learn while sitting in the same position all day long. They need to move! Different students need different working arrangements that best suit their mind and body. This includes students with disabilities such as ADHD and Autism. With these supplies, students will have the choice to bounce their feet or their bodies, pedal while sitting at their desk, sit down or stand up (i.e. mattress risers), wobble, and work outside. Furthermore, given the current pandemic, our students will not be able to move around the school like they once used to. They will be secluded to their own area to avoid germ sharing. So 'movement in place' will be more important than ever!
