I am wanting to create a calming and relaxing atmosphere for my students to engage in learning throughout the year. This rug will bring the outdoors into our classroom helping to create a classroom community as we meet on the rug several times throughout the day in whole group and small group meeting times. My students will gather on this rug to enjoy being read to, as well as learning about Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies. We will become a community of learners in our group meetings. Students will enjoy also gathering in small group learning times throughout the day on this rug.
