We are about to reach our Nonfiction unit where students will research a topic of their choosing and present to the class why their feature is important. As a first year teacher, I have little to no non-fiction books that are colorful/interesting. I want to interest my students who usually fall to fiction stories. I also want to give my non-fiction readers more options as they are going through my small selection very quickly. One of the objectives of my course is to interest readers so I believe the books I chose will be extremely helpful in that process.

About my class
