With these novels, remote learners as well as brick and mortar learners, will have the same eye opening experience. Reading these novel will allow our youth to leave the world they are comfortable in and travel to a world that exists right around the corner. These novels are of high interest to students and will reach lower level readers (The Hate Your Give) as well as challenge higher level readers (Just Mercy). My goal is to show my students a hero of color and that everyone in this world makes a difference, not just Atticus Finch.

About my class
