The great thing about a document camera is that it can support learning in the classroom as well as remotely. Since the students in class will no longer have the opportunity to sit on our carpet to enjoy a story, the details of a book can still be viewed even when sitting in the back of the room. Modeling math concepts with manipulatives, can now be done in a way for all students to watch at once whether they are in the classroom or at home. The whiteboard future is a bonus which will be especially helpful when teaching remotely whether it's being used to model how to spell, work out a math problem or even get a sentence started. A document camera will be beneficial for all learning in class and remotely.
