I am new to my school this year and it will be my first time teaching a reading class. I will be teaching 8th graders who struggle with reading. It is my goal to make my class as enjoyable for them as possible. I think a big part of this is providing them with books that spike their interest and keep them entertained. Right now, my classroom does not have the best selection of books possible. By helping with this project you would be providing students with book choices that could spark a love of reading which changes lives for the better. My goal is to get a wide range of books that will provide my students with stories they can connect with and enjoy which can only have a positive effect on their academic achievement as well as their connections and understanding of the world around them.
