Jumping rope is an excellent motor skill-building activity that can be completed individually, with a partner, or with a group of students. It is a high intensity activity that burns more calories than jogging, and helps students improve their balance, coordination, muscular strength, and endurance. Jumping rope teaches students resiliency and the importance of having a 'try again' attitude. There are a lot of different things you can do with a jump rope. We can cover single tricks, partner tricks, team jump rope games, and then there’s a whole host of “jumping” activities and games that students can do as well. Jumping rope is a low cost activity that our students can learn at school and practice/play at home.
