Distance learning tool kits will provide my first grade students with hands-on materials to assist in their concept development as they learn from home. My class will be able to use the tools to help them in both math and language arts instruction. I will use magnetic letters with them as we create and build words during phonics lessons and the pointers will be used to point to sight words and spelling words as we read in small groups. The magnetic white boards will be used in math and language arts. In math the students will use the white boards on a daily basis as we work through our morning math meeting and calendar to develop math concepts throughout the year. These materials will give me the opportunity to see their work through our Zoom meetings.
