My first grade students will be learning from home this coming school year and will need their own set of supplies to help them learn. These supplies are super important to help them engage in their lessons and keep the information I teach interesting and hands on. My students will need their own supplies at home that they would have access to at school. We will use magnetic whiteboards, dry erase pocket sleeves, dry erase markers and magnetic letters in every day lessons to help the students participate through their computer. The letters are super helpful for practicing letter sounds and building words. We use cubes for counting in math and those are super important for visual learning and understanding. We will be using watercolors so they can do the painting they would in their art class at home. They will need headphones to listen to the lessons since their families will also be home and their siblings will be in class at the same time. They will be doing journaling so they will need a pencil sharpener to sharpen their pencils at home. They will use the zipper pouches to hold their school materials so they can keep them in one place and not lose them. These materials will help the 21 students in my class feel like they are still at school. Thank you in advance for supporting me and my class this year. My students will appreciate anything they can get to help them learn this year.
